We are so excited—Amrita Cellars has entered our wines, our 2017 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, and our 2018 Russian River Pinot Noir in OUR FIRST commercial competition with the OC Fair (Orange County Wine Society.) The competition is June 4-5th at the Hilton Hotel in Costa Mesa. There are no entry fees, and professional winemakers or winery principals judge the wines. They judge wines made only from grapes grown in California. The wines are cataloged by varietal, price, and sugar levels. In 2021, over 2400 wines were entered.
Orange County Wine Society, Inc. is a rapidly-growing non-profit educational corporation whose purpose is to promote the knowledge and understanding of wine. To this end, the Society functions to enhance the knowledge of winemaking, viticulture, and the appreciation of wine. The Society acts as the co-sponsor and leading support group for the Orange County Fair’s largest Commercial Wine Competition and the Home wine Competition.
The Orange County Wine Society proudly exhibits the award-winning wines during the Fair. It features the wines for tasting to the public at the Wine Courtyard at the Orange County Fairgrounds. The wines will be available to purchase by the glass at the OC Fair in the Courtyard staffed by OCWS volunteers. This year’s Fair, “Feel the Sunshine,” begins Friday, July 15th, and runs through August 16th.
So wish us the best.
We look forward to being awarded points for Amrita Cellars’ 2017 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir and our 2018 Russian River Pinot Noir. Let’s hope we “Create Your Moment” and OURS.
